According to family sources, hours after Bollywood producer Karim Morani announced that his younger daughter Shaza Morani had tested positive for COVID-19, his elder daughter and actor in Bollywood, Zoa Morani also had infections.
Shaza, who came back from Sri Lanka in the first week of
March, showed no symptoms but was admitted here on Monday to Nanavati Hospital.
Zoa, who had returned from Rajasthan around mid-March,
has tested positive for COVID-19 according to sources.
She had checked for COVID-19 on Monday and by evening her tests were positive. She is at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital,
while Shaza is at Nanavati under medication.
Families under quarantine-
“Shaza will be tested again after two days. As of now, the immediate family, house helps are also getting tested. They are all under quarantine,” a source told PTI.
Morani had said earlier in the the day that both daughters are under observation.
“Shaza had no symptoms but has tested positive. Zoa, my other daughter, has a few symptoms so we got both of them tested. Zoa, however, tested negative. Both have been admitted to Nanavati hospital. They are in isolation and under observation,” Morani had said.
Her Bollywood Career-
Many Bollywood films have been backed by the producer including Shah Rukh Khan’s “Chennai Express”, “Ra. One,” “Happy New Year” and “Dilwale.”
Zoa Morani worked in some of the Bollywood movies, including “Always Kabhi Kabhi,” “Bhaag Johnny.”
As of Monday night, the number of cases of coronavirus in India rose to 4,281 with the pandemic taking 111 lives.
