The Bollywood and TV stars donated generously to the Fund for Public Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations (PM CARES) of the Prime Minister and various other relief funds planned to counter the coronavirus pandemic.

Bollywood and TV celebrities have been doing their bit to help the country’s people during the coronavirus shutdown, assisting the government in the fight it by promising financial support. 

Here we identified all the celebrities from Bollywood and TV who donated to the COVID-19 relief fund.

Akshay Kumar– Rs 25 crore 

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar was one of the most significant contributions that came. The actor donated a large number of Rs 25 crores to the PM-Cares Fund to help the government battle the COVID-19 pandemic.

Bhushan Kumar- Rs 11 crore

Producer Bhushan Kumar, who heads the T-Series Bollywood film company, said he would donate a total of Rs 11 crores to the PM-CARES Trust, initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to battle health contingencies such as coronavirus.

Kapil Sharma – Rs 50 Lakh

Comedy king Kapil Sharma has declared an Rs 50 lakh donation to the PM relief fund.

Varun Dhawan- Rs 30 Lakh

“I pledge to contribute 30 lakhs to the PM CARE fund. We will overcome this. Desh hai toh hum hain (We exist if the country does),” Varun wrote about his commitment to fighting COVID-19 when sharing it.

Arjun Bijlani- Rs 5 lakh

State of Siege actor Arjun Bijlani also revealed his donation to the PM-CARES fund from Rs 5 Lakh, as well as the Relief Fund from Maharashtra CM.

Manish Paul- Rs 20 Lakh

Host and actor Manish Paul revealed his donation for the fund on Twitter, “I take a pledge to donate 20 lakhs from my savings to the PM-CARES fund…its time to be there for everyone… @narendramodiji. JAI HIND”.

Murad Khetani- Rs 25 Lakh

The 2019 hit “Kabir Singh” producer Murad Khetani pledged Rs 25 lakh to the project.“Pledge to contribute 25 lakhs to PM Cares funds, our earnest prayers and thoughts are always for our country’s well being @PMOIndia #PM-CARES fund @narendramodi,” he wrote in his twitter post.

Kartik Aaryan- 1 Crore
